Worldwide renowned toy manufacturer relies upon system solutions from TAMPOPRINT®

This high-performance printing line consists of a cycle conveyor with indexed band plates which is controlled by a servo-motor. The twelve printing machines Rapid 2000/60-1 with the latest technology are driven by a central shaft with servo-motor synchronously to the cycle conveyor.
The supply with unprinted parts takes place by the mechanical infeed (drive via servo-motor), completed by two vibratory feedings with a total of four feeding rows. The printing parts are pressed onto the turning jig carriers, then guided under the printing stations and printed.
Using turning jigs (4 x 90°) and movable mechanical turning cams, both the front and rear sides of the printing components will be printed in one working process with a total of 12 colours.
Hot and cold air drying is used as aftertreatment.

The discharge of the ready printed components takes place mechanically on the bottom side of the cycle conveyor. The parts are transported as bulk material directly into storage boxes using a connected belt conveyor. Thanks to the four-fold use (4 printing parts on one expanding mandrel of the turning jig carriers) and 4.000 cycles/h a capacity of 16.000 printing parts/h is possible.

The slewable touch-screen control panel allows a simple and error-free operation of the complete high-performance printing line. In order to achieve a maximum availabibility (> 98%), this automation is equipped with a central lubrication unit which is controlled depending on the use via the PLC of the automation.
A setup time for all 12 printing units in less than 20 minutes is absolutely unequalled and allows to operate the automation with only one operator.

Highlights:

■ 16.000 parts/h, 12 colours
■ Alternatively printing on front or rear sides of the printing components, realised by 4x 90° turning jig carriers
■ Easy to maintain thanks to PLC controlled central lubrication
■ High efficiency thanks to short setup times (12 ink/motif changes in less than 20 minutes)
