1x laser marking unit & 2x tampon printing machines
Tool components
Complete automation for "customised inscription" of cylindrical, metallic tool components.
Cylindrical tools of a wide range of heights and diameters are removed from a production line using a "pick and place system" and put into jigs which centre the cylinders at each end of the parts using tapered mandrills and position the tools in the centre.
The "ALFALAS® laser marking unit is now used to mechanically roughen up the parts. Some are customised and then, after a cleaning process, decorated precisely using up to 2 tampon printing machines with 2-component printing inks.
All the marking and decorating units sit on the edge of an indexing table from "the outside in" on "x/y/w cross tables". As well as simplifying tooling work, these also allow the tampon printing machines to be quickly set and positioned.
